TSAI™ Q2 Results Released

Attendees and Exhibitors Being More Selective, but Outlook Remains Positive for Industry

TSNN.com reports continued growth in online activity in the second quarter. Together with complementary data from affiliate website CVBHotRates.com, the websites' parent company, Caroo Media USA created the Trade Show Activity Indicator (TSAI™) earlier this year to help predict the future health of the industry. Utilizing data from the top industry databases for trade shows and event planning via CVBs and reinforcing with quantitative data in the industry, the TSAI™ predicts a more disciplined, but healthy fall tradeshow season.

The major findings for Q2 are:

  • TSNN.com experienced the highest number of page views ever recorded on the site for the month of June with a slight dip in the number of visitors. This suggested to researchers that while the economy has trimmed the quantity of prospects, there is a new focus on show research and hence a stronger concern about maximizing their budgets and attending the RIGHT shows.
  • CVBHotRates.com Q2 data supported these observations. Researchers measured a 6.4% increase in RFPs being generated over the 2007’s second quarter, and there was a significant 62.7% increase in room nights booked over the similar timeframe last year.

Giving Exhibitors an Advantage

With today's increased travel costs and tighter controls on spending, exhibitors need to see solid potential return on their investment in booth space in order to justify their participation in a trade show or event. To assist event organizers in attracting exhibitors, a2z, Inc. has released a new product, exhibitorAdvantage, which when used on its own or in conjunction with another a2z product, networkNow!, provides a powerful tool for forecasting and following up on show floor activity. The Importance of Informational Architecture in Website Development

Among the numerous features that define the quality and effectiveness of a website, the basic aesthetic design, or the "look-and-feel", stands among the most considered and emphasized attribute that website owners focus on. Believing that the presence of an innovative and visually pleasing website reflects the quality and status of the organization it heralds, website owners have the general tendency to steer development efforts to concentrate on font selection, color schemes, and flash incorporation to deliver the most aesthetically enticing website to their visitors. According to Trends in Event Website Development, 92% of surveyed organizations marked a website's overall look-and-feel as an extremely/very important product feature. Click here to read more.
