Las Vegas businesses now rake in more cash from British tourists than from any other nation, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). The research comes soon after British Airways launched the UK’s first direct flight route to the Nevada city.

Why Not Virtual Trade Shows?

Attendees and exhibitors are being more selective on which shows they attend. Participation in live events have been down anywhere from 15% to 30% this year. Marketing budgets continue to be stretched and companies are finding alternate ways to make market impressions. Attending a virtual trade show can allow a company to participate in about eight events for the cost of one physical one and although there is no replacement for “face to face” encounters this is an attractive alternative for attendees and exhibitors alike.

‘The Emirates Hall’ features an enhanced press centre. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, has made an on-site inspection of the additional exhibition facilities for this month’s Dubai Airshow, erected due to unprecedented demand. Running from 15 to 19 November 2009 at the Airport Expo in Dubai, the biennial airshow is the foremost aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing in the world.
